Chloe Burnett SC practices in commercial and public law, with a specialisation in tax law.  She appeared in the Chevron transfer pricing case, the News Australia Holdings and Citigroup Part IVA cases, the Consolidated Media Holdings and Cable & Wireless buy-back cases, and other significant disputes. Chloe also has an extensive advisory and alternative dispute resolution practice.

Before becoming a barrister Chloe was a solicitor at Allens and worked as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Edmonds of the Federal Court.  She has also worked for Macquarie Bank in Sydney and Slaughter and May in London.  Chloe has expertise in international tax; in addition to her BCom/LLB qualifications she has a LLM from New York University in international tax and trade and she is an active member of the International Fiscal Association.  Chloe teaches the Statutory Interpretation and Tax Litigation courses in the LLM program at The Sydney Law School.

Chloe is first ranked in Doyles Guide, Band 1 in Chambers and Partners and a “Thought Leader” in Who’s Who Legal.  Chambers and Partners 2019 states “Chloe has a very strong international background,” says one satisfied client who goes on to praise her “very good knowledge in transfer pricing cases and in the international space”
