Joe was admitted to practice in 2008 and called to the Bar in 2017. He has a broad practice in public and commercial law, and accepts briefs in all areas of law.
Before coming to the Bar, Joe worked in a variety of legal roles for the Commonwealth Government. He was Counsel Assisting the Commonwealth Solicitor-General in 2013-2014, and practised as a solicitor at the Australian Government Solicitor for over 8 years, in both the Office of General Counsel (Canberra) and the Dispute Resolution Group (Sydney).
Joe has also previously worked for a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, at a top-tier Australian law firm and at New York University (NYU).
Joe has an LLM from NYU School of Law, which he attended on a Vanderbilt Scholarship, and an LLB (First Class Honours) and BA from the University of Sydney.
