John was called to the Bar in 1993 and appointed Senior Counsel in 2008. He is an experienced competition, commercial and corporations Silk who has appeared in a diverse range of significant hearings in the Federal Court and the NSW Supreme Court. He has predominately been involved in the preparation and conduct of lengthy and complex cases involving extensive lay and expert evidence and the use of electronic databases.

John has been briefed in cases covering a broad range of industries and products including banking and financial products, software development, pay television, telecommunications, air freight, air traffic control, originator and generic pharmaceuticals, supermarkets and mining. Since taking silk he has been briefed by the ACCC and ASIC to assist in a broad range of competition and corporate law investigations and appear in matters that proceed to litigation.

Prior to coming to the bar John was a litigation and commercial solicitor at Allen, Allen & Hemsley for 7 years.
