Rob graduated with a BA(Hons)/LLB from the University of New South Wales (2001) and holds a Masters of Law from Harvard University (2009).
Rob was admitted to practice in 2001 and called to the Bar in 2014. Rob regularly appears in the superior courts and tribunals of New South Wales and the Commonwealth. His practice encompasses a wide spectrum of commercial law including competition and consumer law, class actions, insolvency, corporations law and general equity matters. Rob has also been briefed in relation to judicial review and administrative law, immigration law, and environmental and planning law. He has acted for clients including government regulators, large listed companies as well as individuals.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Rob gained extensive experience as a solicitor, having worked in private practice across multiple jurisdictions, as well as as in-house and for the public sector. In private practice Rob worked for large national and international law firms in Australia, Japan and the United States, representing multinational corporations across the areas of corporate, banking & finance, insolvency and real estate. Rob also worked for the Office of General Counsel with the Australian Government Solicitor, where he undertook work in relation to constitutional and administrative law, public finance law, and environmental law.
