Alison was admitted to practice in 2015 and called to the Bar in 2019. She accepts briefs in a wide variety of areas, with a particular focus on commercial disputes, administrative and constitutional law, class actions and tax. She regularly appears both led and unled in hearings in the Federal Court of Australia and the NSW Supreme Court, as well as other courts and tribunals.
Prior to coming to the bar, Alison worked in the Dispute Resolution Group at King & Wood Mallesons, where she acted on a wide range of commercial matters, regulatory disputes, class actions and public law matters.
In 2015, Alison was the Associate to the Hon Justice Virginia Bell at the High Court of Australia.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons Class 1) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons Class 1, University Medal) from the University of Sydney.
Alison is the co-author, together with Neil Williams SC, of Learning to Litigate: A Guide for Young Lawyers, which is published by Federation Press and features on the reading list for the Bar Practice Course in NSW and elsewhere
