Patrick is an experienced junior counsel with a broad commercial practice. He appears both led and unled, in trials and appeals. He is regularly briefed in large and complex disputes, and is particularly sought after for his expertise in class actions (appearing for plaintiffs and defendants). He often appears in significant matters involving consumer law, corporations law, banking and financial services, insolvency, insurance, and commercial arbitration.
Before coming to the Bar in 2014, Patrick was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, where he practised as a litigator from 2008 to 2013. Patrick holds an LLM from New York University, where he was awarded for his work in competition law. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
