Surya’s practice sits at the intersection of administrative, commercial and criminal law. She regularly appears for and advises corporations, government bodies and individuals, predominately appearing in the Federal Court of Australia and Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Surya commenced practice at the Bar in 2014 as Counsel Assisting the NSW Solicitor General and Crown Advocate. Prior to that, Surya was associate to Justice Gageler in the High Court of Australia and Justice Lander in the Federal Court of Australia, in-house legal adviser at the ACCC, and associate at Kirby McInerney LLP in New York.
